CAMERON LAKE STOCK CAR & ATV ICE RACES
Erskine’s Cameron Lake Stock Car Ice racing are having their sixth annual stock car ice race on Cameron lake in Erskine. Their will be several rules in this race that will have to be honored by all racers and pit crew members, all racers are responsible for all actions of themselves and there pit crew members.
There are several terms in these rules which are underlined. These terms are defined throughout this rule book.
For insurance reasons we have to ask that there be no drinking alcohol in any race cars during the race, If we feel you are intoxicated you will not race.
It is mandatory that all drivers pay and sign the race waver before entering their car on the track and all pit crew members and riders pay before entering pit row or entering any race car.
The point season will consist of eight race weeks or (8 races) starting January 10 2009 and finishing when all eight races are completed. We may plan on running a open invitational race for cash at the end of the race season if whether and ice conditions is permitting.


The annual membership fee to race in Erskine is $25.00
Daily racing fee for full and compact class is 20.00 per driver
Powder Puff drivers fee is 10.00 per driver
Riders fee is 10.00 per rider
DRIVERS DO NOT PAY A RIDERS FEE


Pre season pit pass: You can pay now and have no worries later with a pit pass and save some money, For $140.00 this covers eight races so you pay for seven and race the eighth week free NOTE: all fees must be paid for on or before Jan 10 2009 and must be paid in full no partial payments Please. If we decide to run more than eight races you will have to pay $20.00 extra per race this will be decided when we get close to the end of the race season


NOTE: for those who pay for a pit pass, You will get a refund if we cancel a race because of poor weather or track conditions and are unable to race all eight races, you will get your money back for the race weekend (s) missed at the end of the season. Also if you have problems with your car and you know you will be unable to race you will get your entry fees back for the week(s) you miss. But you need to let us know right away, If you miss one, two, three race weeks and then tell us you had car problems you will not get your fees back.
Pit gate, registration, and hot laps will open at 11:00 am, all racers are to be off the track at 12:00 so we can prepare the track for the race, all late entrants will be accepted upon the flagman and directors discretion. There will be a pit meeting at 12:15 all drivers are required to attend and the race will be scheduled to start at 12:30, If we need to run a double feature we will start 2 hours early. All entrants position in the line up will be based on a draw system, all the track positions will be placed in a container and the line-up based on the number you draw.

NOTICE TO ALL DRIVERS
You must be at least 16 years old and have a valid drivers license to race a full size car and at least 14 years old to race a front wheel drive class but must have a parent sign a release waver. All drivers must sign the release of liability form every race day. No one under the age of 16 is allowed to race or ride in a car or be in pit row during the race unless the parents sign a release waver and excepts full responsibility for there child’s safety.


A driver will select their position in the heat race by drawing a number when they register at the gate. Top two or three heat driver will redraw for the main feature line up this will depend on the number of drivers that day.
Due to insurance and safety reasons each car is only allowed to carry no more than two people in the front and three riders in the rear of the car.
It is the drivers responsibility to make sure all of their riders have signed a waiver and paid there entry fee for that day. Any driver who is caught carrying a passenger who has not signed a waiver or paid there fee is subject to a loss of 10 points for each incident and disciplinary action after the third offence.
Any inappropriate behavior around or to the flagman, directors, score keepers, racers, riders or spectators may result in disciplinary action.

Complaints are to be taken to the directors who will deal with the problem as they see fit if you feel the matter has not be taken care of by the directors we will than have a drivers meeting to resolve the problem(s) any directors-official who are racing in his/her car has no power to remove a driver or take any disciplinary action while they are racing in there car and are subject to the rules.

1. The scorekeepers, or directors, may at any time or for any reason, re-arrange the order to accommodate late entrants or mechanical difficulties.

FLAGS
If for any time the red flag is displayed at the entrance of the track, absolutely no one is allowed on the track. Anyone disobeying this rule will be subject to disciplinary action.
Always be aware of our corner flagmen, who will be using the yellow (caution) and red (race has stopped) flags to indicate track conditions during each race.
If you get rough out on the track you may or may not get a warning with the black flag, If the flag is rolled up you got lucky and were warned, If the flag is opened and/or waving you are to get off the track and you may loss your points for that race.
If you do not get off the track and continue to race you will loss all your points for that day. If all four tires leave the track during a race you are not allowed to get back on the track because you are disqualified for that race.
If you become a unsafe driver on the track or in the pits you will be asked to leave and not return for the rest of the season.
For safety reasons race cars are not allowed in the spectator area.


CAR INFORMATION AND STIPULATIONS
Cars only no trucks
Full size rear wheel drive class, must be at least 108 wheel base, Only the non drive tires can be studded and we require for your safety that a clear light be placed on your trunk lid or roof of the car facing towards the back so other drivers can see you in white out conditions also at least one red light facing rear to indicate braking.
Front Wheel drive class, Four and six cylinder only, can be front or rear wheel drive and can not be a AWD and not larger than 114 inch wheel base and can only stud non drive tires, must have clear or amber light and red light for braking on truck lid or roof facing rear .
All car numbers must be at least 10’’ tall, very legible, and placed on a sign on the roof or trunk lid of the car

18 RULES TO RACE BY
(1) All lights and loose molding must be removed from the car before entering the track.
(2) It is mandatory to have one working red brake light and one clear drive light or amber light facing the rear of the car.
(3) Sand bags are allowed but if the bag is ripped, broken, or leaking it will be removed from the car. Salt bags are not allowed.
(4) All cars must have front and rear working brakes.
(5) Both non drive tires must be studded.
(6) No studs/bolts are allowed in drive tiers.
(7) Car doors must be able to latched securely.
(8) All bumpers must be secured and have no sharp edges.
(9) Unlimited secured weight allowed but must be securely fastened, any unsafe weight will be asked to be removed .
(10) Locked rear ends allowed.
(11) All car must carry a working fire extinguisher in the car.
(12) All cars must have tow chains mounted on the front and rear of car.
(13) Biodegradable antifreeze is mandatory and your car may be tested.
(14) Rub rails are mandatory on driver and passenger doors, and must not have any sharp edges.
(15) Helmets are not mandatory but highly recommended.
(16) All drivers and riders in the car are required to wear seat belts.
(17) Fuel cells are recommended but are not mandatory, If your fuel tank seems to be vulnerable to damage you will be asked to install a fuel tank to the trunk or shield your tank with steel .
(18) All drivers are required to clean up after yourself anyone caught leaving garbage, oil, antifreeze on the track or in the pits will be asked not to come back.

There will be no pit stops to change flat tires unless you were involved in a crash that was not your fault everyone else will pull off the track

RACING INFORMATION
The first race will begin shortly after the pit meeting, Each race will consist of the following number of laps for full size cars
Heats 8 laps
Consolation 8 laps
B-Main 10 laps
A-Feature 12 laps
All cars that make it to the A-feature and take a green will receive a cash prize.


RACE WILL CONSIST OF
Heats: (8 LAPS) will consist of no more than 8 drivers and the top finishers move up to the A-feature and B-main this will be decided on the number of cars that race all other will run in the consolation.
Consolation: (8 LAPS) will consist of one or two races with no more than 10 drivers and top finisher(s) move up to the A-Feature and B Main this will be decided on the number of cars that race. We may not run this race if we do not have enough cars or if we run a double feature.
B-Main: (10 LAPS)will consist of no more than 10 drivers and the top finisher(s) move up to the A-feature but will start in the back this will be decided on the number of cars that race

A-Feature: (12 LAPS) will consist of no more than 12 cars and any car that takes three green is guaranteed a cash prize.

The number of drivers who move up may depend on the number of car/drivers that participate this will change if we have less or more drivers that race day

Compact class: This is based on at least 12 cars, Each race will consist of the
following number of laps
Heats 8 laps
Feature 12 laps
Heats: Will consist of at least 4 drivers
Feature: will consist of no more than 12 drivers
Ladies only class 12 laps Top three will receive a trophy

NOTE IF WE HAVE A DOUBLE FEATURE WE START TWO HOUR EARLIER AND WILL ONLY RUN ONE LADIES ONLY CLASS AND WILL RUN AFTER THE SECOND FEATURE


ATV-Motorcycle RULES



1. All ATV’s must have nerf bars.
2. Must have working tether cords.
3. Helmets and goggles are required.
4. Ice screws only ( no snowmobile studs).
5. All ATV’s and motorcycle are to have a OEM engine
No snowmobile or street bike engines.
6. All machines must have visible number plates.
7. All liquid cooled machines must use a biodegradable antifreeze.
8. Drivers are responsible to clean any oil or antifreeze spills from there machine,
9. Heats will consist of five laps.
10. Feature will consist of ten laps.
11. Intoxicated drivers will not be able to race.

FLAG RULES
If you cause a RED (restart) flag you will be sent to the back of the pack
If two or more cars cause a RED (restart) and it is undecided who caused it all cars will be sent to the back
If you cause two RED (restart) flags you will be asked to pull of the track
If you spin out on your own after the first lap is made and no one else is affected only a YELLOW (caution)will be dropped and the race will continue if you are in the way of traffic and the race has to be restarted you will be sent to the back.
If you stall out or hit the bank and are out of the way of traffic the race will continue and you must stay in your car until the end of that race.
If a Blue (being lapped) flag is dropped you must move out of the way and let the leaders pass you.
If you get a black flag and do not pull off the track you will loss all points earned and fee for that race day
Directors and/or flagmen have the right to black flag any driver off the track/lake for any inappropriate behavior.

Definition of underlined terms:
Board of directors: These are the people responsible for running these races. They organize, promote and regulate these races. their duties include arranging insurance, creating and maintain the track, finding people to keep score, run the flags and all other logistical requirements of running these races. They have the final decision in all maters arising from and pertaining to these races. They have final say in all maters if disciplinary action. They also reserve the right to amend, change and enforce the rules or terms at any time for any reason.

INAPPROPRIATE DRIVING

Everybody is out there to have a good time and we are aware that there may be a little rubbing and bumping out on the track but anyone caught practicing inappropriate driving habits like deliberately bulldozing cars out of the way, spinning cars out, smashing into other cars either in the corners or on the straight-aways will be black flagged off the track and may lose there points for that day, If you continue to be a problem on the track you will not be allowed to finish to season and you will lose all your points and any money invested in the club this rule is non negotiable and will be enforced.
Anyone who is having a problem with another driver out on the track let one of the officials know and we will take disciplinary action as we see fit.
Disciplinary action: This is the action taken as a result of a rule violation, inappropriate behavior, unsafe behavior or any action, gesture or speech that the directors or flagman deems as unwanted safe, un-sportsman like or unnecessary. It may include, verbal warning, loss of position in line up, disqualification for heat, feature, day, or rest of race year, loss of all money paid and points earned for that race year, and being asked the leave the lake.
Flagmen: The person appointed by the directors to run the main flags of the race. This director may enforce any rules defined in the document and may dispense any disciplinary action he or she deems necessary.
Weather and ice condition permitting: The directors may at any time cancel or postpone due to weather or ice conditions and assume no responsibility for hazards or conditions unknown to them. Ultimately, it is the participants responsibility to decide themselves if the conditions are safe to be on the ice.

The directors assume no responsibility for loss of property or life due to weather or ice conditions.
By the act of participating in any shape or form in these races you will subject yourself to, and accept the rules, terms, conditions, and definitions in this document and take full responsibility for the safety of yourself, the people in your race car and will not hold Cameron Lake Ice Racing club or directors liability for any accidents or incidents that may happen during the race season.
